ENGINEERING

Sr. Project Engineer
Growing biopharmaceutical equipment design firm, established 1994, located in Glenview, IL seeking a Senior Chemical or Mechanical Project Engineer to augment biopharmaceutical equipment design group.

  • Will lead design of new biopharmaceutical equipment product lines
  • 15+ years experience working with process equipment, especially in or for pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Will specify components including instruments, valves, and pumps for process skids; experience with component and instrument specification requested
  • Project management skills necessary
  • Will assist with electrical and automation testing/commissioning for process skids
  • Technical writing and documentation review (Functional Requirement Specification, Quality Plan, IQ/OQ documentation, reviewing and approving detailed design specifications)
  • Familiarity with pumps, valves, instrumentation, fittings, and analytical measurement tools
  • Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and be able to mentor the young engineers on our team
  • Occasional travel, domestic and international, for field support of equipment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chem E or ME
  • 3D CAD experience a plus (SolidWorks preferred) to assist with equipment design/layout
  • PLC programming or VB programming experience would be a plus

Growing biopharmaceutical equipment design firm, established 1994, located in Glenview, IL seeking a Chemical Engineer to lead biopharmaceutical equipment commissioning and validation.

  • 7+ years industry experience working with cGMP process equipment (especially chromatography and filtration equipment), including validation and commissioning support
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA based automated equipment required
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills required, to author and review Functional Requirement Specifications, Quality Plans, IQ/OQ documentation, detailed design specifications
  • Understanding of GAMP-5 life-cycle validation required
  • Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and be able to work well with other team members as well as industry QA representatives
  • Ability to lead internal Quality System audits and improvement projects preferred
  • Oversight of contract validation engineers

PROCESS SCIENCES

HPLC Method Development Associate
Growing biopharmaceutical equipment design firm, established 1994, located in Glenview, IL seeking a HPLC Method Development Associate to augment our biopharmaceutical equipment design group.

Job Description:
  • Work with Process Science and Engineering staff to develop methods for internal and external customers
  • Production of purified product as specified by customer for contract work
  • Develop expertise in use and troubleshooting of TechniKrom™ analytical HPLC instruments
  • Preparation of application notes to promote media sales (silica and polymer-based)
  • Assist with training of sales staff and customers on TechniKrom™ equipment
  • Other assignments as directed
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in life science, preferably in Chemistry, or 5+ years Method Development HPLC lab experience
  • 3+ years Hands-on experience with HPLC instrument and software
  • HPLC troubleshooting knowledge
  • Knowledge of HPLC packings
  • 5+ years work experience in a contract method development lab is a plus

Process Scientist
Growing biopharmaceutical equipment design firm, established 1994, located in Glenview, IL seeking a Process Scientist to augment our biopharmaceutical equipment design group.

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with staff and customers to prepare and present technical papers at technical symposia, customer sites, and on-site classroom
  • Train sales staff on use of TechniKrom™ equipment, including IBD™, DAC columns, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography skids, and Synthesizers
  • Prepare and present on-site and customer-site demonstrations of TechniKrom™ equipment, in support of sales staff
  • Develop expertise in chemical process applications of TechniKrom™ equipment and assist Process Controls staff in improving software design
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Sales staff in development of new lines of equipment
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Hands-on experience with preparative HPLC and/or process instruments
  • Troubleshooting interests
  • A lab-oriented person
  • Previous work experience in production and scale-up is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

SALES AND MARKETING

Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Job Description:
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver  Market  Requirement  Docs and Product Requirement Docs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Develop expertise across TechniKrom™ product line, including IBD™, Liquid Chromatography skids, Synthesizers, Chromatography Columns and Filtration Products
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Design and develop application notes in support of sales team
  • Collaborate with Sales  & Engineering to develop pricing for products
  • Liaison between sales, process science and engineering departments
  • Design and update product brochures
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering with interest in sales & marketing
  • 5+ years in Sales, marketing experience, or sales support
  • 5+ years experience with chromatography and/or filtration hardware and software
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • 3+ years experience in a process science lab
  • Some domestic and international travel
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
